Back in 1980, Janie was...I'll ditto your title. Back in 1980, Janie was assisting as a minister at the San Francisco MCC. I saw her for "spiritual direction" for a difficult period in my life. Coincidentally (as if there ever is anything "coincidental") yesterday, I was searching through one of my books for something and came across the discussion of that difficult period and stopped and read what I'd written 35 years ago about Janie Spahr as spiritual director.
